Author's Preface On June 25, 2009, I took a nap around the noon hour because I was working late that day at the Gold Strike Casino. Michael came to me in a dream, looking very upset. He said, "Lary, Lary, what's happening to me? I don't know what's happening to me!" I awoke from my nap, puzzled by what the dream meant. I turned on the coffee-maker and then the TV, and was confronted by the breaking news that Michael was dead. At first, I was sure it was a mistake, but all the news channels carried the same story, so I slowly accepted the horrible truth and a deep emptiness devastated me. I've since learned that Michael's appearance on June 25 was a visitation and not
a dream, and he then showed up every night after that. Often, he would take me out-of-body and we'd travel to the
huge, rental mansion in LA where he'd crossed over. We would walk in the garden and talk, and, of course, no one
could see us and in our state, we couldn't have tripped a security alarm. Tony's note on the first channeling at the Pioneer Saloon: After 30 years in metaphysics, I knew Lary was then channeling Michael and not just impersonating him, so I simply said, "Hello, Michael." "Hello, Tony, how are you?" he asked in a voice that sounded exactly the same as when he was on Earth. "I'm fine, thank you. You learned the skill of channeling back very quickly," I observed. "I have good teachers where I am," he replied. "So how do you spend your time where you are?" I asked. "Well, I hang out with my kids a lot, even though they can't see me. And the rest of the time, I'm with Lary." Lary was deep in trance at this time and made no recognition of hearing his name, so I knew this was not him playing a joke on me. Anyway, Lary is incapable of such a deception. Michael then said, "Lary is getting tired, so I'll go now." "See you again, Michael. Bye for now," I said. In July 2010, a beautiful German Shepherd wandered into town, probably dropped off somewhere (happens a lot in Goodsprings), and found her way to the Pioneer Saloon, where she found Tony, my co-writer, who gave her water and food, which she devoured voraciously. When she and I met, it was 'love at first sight,' and she walked up to me and put her head on my knee. Tony said he'd called her 'Baby Girl,' a name that has stuck. I've always felt that Michael had something to do with Baby Girl coming into my life; she is invariably aware of him when he's around, and they love to play with each other. She is an enormously calming influence in my life and great company. Smart, too. (Footnote: in fact Michael confirmed that Baby Girl was his gift to us when I channeled him when I was a guest on Tony's "Death Without Fear" radio show on August 8, 2010.) And Michael is also a calming influence. Whenever I get upset over something, he's right there with, "It's going to be okay, Lary. It will be all right. Always remember the power of prayer." |
