Chapter 5: Sexual Abuse Allegations

First Incident (1993)
"They [the Chandlers] knew it was not me and that their accusations were wrong. The sheriff's deputies treated me so bad. They treated me like a criminal but I wasn't a criminal. I knew I had to go through the booking, but they were especially cruel, and treated me like I was a bad person. Like I was nothing. They manhandled me very roughly and hurt my arm. Of course, I would never hurt anyone."

Second Incident (2003)
"The way the sheriff's deputies ransacked the ranch meant it was never the same for me. The magic was tarnished. My dream, my world was shattered and never the same after that."

In regards to these two episodes, Michael said, "I hope everyone who reads this book will understand that I was never a child-molester or a person who would harm a child. I would never, ever do what I was accused of. People lied just to get money. I have a message for Blanca Francia (a maid who had worked at the Ranch for a few years), who was paid to accuse me of wrong-doing. 'You knew the boy knew the accusations were wrong and his father knew they were wrong.'"
